Candidates intending to go abroad for employment purpose in nursing profession need an NOC to leave Pakistan.
For the purpose, all such candidates need to apply to NOC in the provincial Health Department, from where she has earned her diploma in nursing, midwifery etc. She concerned Health Department will scrutinize all there documents to establish geniuses of the case. The concerned Heath Department Then send its recommendations to M/O Health, Isl for issue of NOC to candidate She M/O Heath give complete weight age to the recommendations of Heath Department from the provinces and further confirms the registration of such nurse, with PNC, Isl. After receiving verification from PNC, Isl on the registration of such nurses, the M/O Heath Islamabad issues the NOC to the respective Heath Department in the provinces for further delivery of the same to the candidate/ applicant. The record of all NOCs issued to nurses serial-wise is kept with the M/O Heath, detail of which are sent to protect of Immigrants at Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta and Karachi.
The number of NOCs issued in the year 2006 were 160in total and meant for the following countries.
Saudi Arabia: 141
UAE: 06
UK: 11
Yemen: 02

In the year 2007, total number of NOCs issued until 19th june,07 are 53 and meant for the following countries.
